Brief
CPI is refurbishing two floors of laboratories with new benching, ductwork and fume extraction equipment to support their ongoing research. They require a series of bespoke enclosures to house dry milling equipment and materials.
Solution
TION designed two bespoke walk-in fume cupboards equipped with state-of-the-art HEPA filtration and our proprietary touch screen control system. We also supplied a mild steel ducted fume cupboard and a laminar flow ductless fume cupboard.
Outcome
The products performed as required. The client was particularly impressed with our five-meter-high ductless walk-in fume cupboard. This product was built on-site by TION’s engineering and site management team in under 48 hours.
Summary
The challenges posed by this project demonstrated TION’s willingness to develop unconventional solutions that defy industry trends. Designing and installing a five-meter-high walk-in enclosure is no easy task, but TION’s ingenuity prevailed.
